Code

I am a Nairobi-based software engineer, cofounder and CTO of FarmLens (with Clinton Adoga as CEO and Stella Njambi as COO), and CEO of CodeKona. I also co-founded Mazmatic.

I went to Muranga High School and later trained at ALX Africa (Software Engineering), KCA University (Software Development), and IBM (User-Centered Design). I'm passionate about leveraging AI to complement, enhance, and automate processes, and I envision a bright technological future for Africa.

Additionally, I founded and lead Mazmatic, co-founded Zaolink, and remain actively involved in the startup ecosystem. My work sits at the intersection of code, design, and pragmatic infrastructure. I focus on building Laravel web applications, modern websites, and embedded systems engineering.

EthicaCompliance

Built and maintained multiple domains: ethicacompliance.co.ke, info.ethicacompliance.co.ke, and gifts.ethicacompliance.co.ke for gifts and donations.

Whistleblowing tools: echo, hummingbird, aces, and spades.

Legal Technology

Developed legalassistant.orinalaw.com for Orina Law LLP to help users navigate Kenya's judicial system seamlessly.

CodeKona Solutions

Launched mazmatic.codekona.com, created the card game Niko Kadi, built primrose.codekona.com (school management), and farmlens.codekona.com.

Early Ventures

Co-founded Afree Tech (predecessor to CodeKona), led development on Find My Home real estate platform, and Agri Glow precision agriculture project.

Outside work, I love swimming, drawing, coding on my phone, playing Sudoku, and researching people and things. I'm always happy to help a developer in need, contact me or book a free 30‑minute consultation to chat.

If you're building something bold, secure, and scalable, or want to discuss AI driven automation, let's connect.

Common Questions

FAQs About My Work

I build secure, scalable web and mobile applications using Laravel, Vue, Python, Flutter, and integrated CI/CD processes. From IoT dashboards to legal management tools, every system is optimized for precision, automation, and long-term maintainability.
Using PostGIS, Leaflet, and crop simulation engines, I overlay satellite and ground sensor data to offer real-time insights on soil type, weather, yield, and risk. FarmLens, my current agri-simulator, infers everything from location—no manual inputs needed.
I use RBAC, HTTPS, OAuth2, SSH hardening, encrypted DB storage, regular pentests and tools from Kali Linux to lock down environments. Code is linted, tested and audited. I also guide clients in compliance (e.g. GDPR, Kenya DPA).
I use bash scripting, Supervisor, Docker, and Git-based pipelines. Deployments are atomic, monitored, and fully logged. I optimize for memory, CPU, and load balancing where applicable, and leverage caching + workers for scale.
Yes. I connect sensor arrays (NPK, PIR, UV, DHT) to IoT modules (ESP32/ESP01), then pipe data to APIs or dashboards. I also write firmware and set up CI for OTA updates.
Clients get full documentation, recorded walkthroughs, admin access and a 30-day stability support period. I offer optional monthly maintenance, analytics setup, and future version upgrades.
